My friend Tina has a home on Shaw Island. She invited Lee Ann, Joan, and me to a women's retreat in late January 2010. We had fine weather, permitting us to take a picnic on the beach. We also spent time walking, sewing, knitting, reading, and EATING. My friends like to cook, and I love to eat. We also had fine picnics on the ferry, coming and going, since there is no food or coffee service on the ferry in the winter.
