African Mix, 66"x82", 4/20/07

About to mail to Kate and Grant in Nashville, TN
Made about a year after moving to Washington. I wanted something easy to piece, and to use the multiple African fabrics accumulated in Paducah and Houston. It feels good to ship quilts out and find a little more space here.

Corduroy/House Medallion Quilt, 42"x40"
Started in workshop with Gwen Marston, September 2009, in the Beaver Island Quilt Retreat.
The subject of the workshop was "Solids". I used corduroy from the thrift store, and solids from my sash and those of other members of the retreat.

Guatemalan Inspired Silk pillow

Pillow made from silk blouse with silk applique. Motifs from Guatemalan folk textile in museum in Guatemala City. Machine applique and machine quilted. Pillow front made from blouse back, and blouse front with buttons used for closure on pillow back. Thrift store blouse, of course.
Great to do a shorter project and get it done.
